The Family Crisis Center, Inc. of Prince Georges's County is a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3), human service organization with a 21 member volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of The Family Crisis Center is to eliminate family violence by providing counseling, education, and support services for the women, men and children affected by it.

Twenty years ago the Center's primary service was to provide battered women and their children with emergency shelter. Since then the agency has expanded its services to provide families plagued by domestic violence with comprehensive wrap around services through eight program components.

Our Board of Directors include a mix of community leaders and professionals with extensive experience in social services. Funding for the Agency comes through the Prince George's County Government, the Maryland Department of Human Resources, Victims of Crime Assistance and the Office of the Governor of the State of Maryland. In addition FCC, Inc. stage ongoing fundraising events such as its annual Golf tournament, to assist with funding its programs.
